In no particular order.
Earlier, single mirror Testarossa. Ask anyone to picture an "exotic" or "super" car, or hell, even "Ferrari". More often than not, this is the mental image that shows up. The quintessential Ferrari. You could NEVER sum up Ferrari's history without mentioning the 2nd car Ferrari ever called "Redhead".
Pre-facelift 928 with the rubber front and rear spoiler. Nothing captures 80s excess more. All the luxury of an S-Class, with the performance of a 911 (slightly better, even). I unashamedly LOVE this car. Always have, always will.
Ferrari 288 GTO, because, holy shit, do I even have to explain?
FD RX-7. If I had to narrow this list down to top 3, this is the only car that I can 100% guarantee would make it, without even having to think about it.
VW Beetle. Seriously. Although it comes from a…..less than ideal background…..I can't for the life of me think of a single more timeless design. It isn't just a car design, it is THE Car Design. What does that mean? I have no clue. Just look at it and smile.

Prepared to be Silvestro'd

I read that as "post your top 5 most beautiful cars"

I'm a through and through rotary guy, and diehard Mazda fan, but I really don't see it with the FD, it's my least favorite of the RX7's. There's just something about the styling that doesn't evoke any emotion in me. If I had to pick my favorite rotary it would be a toss up between the original cosmo, the eunos cosmo, and an FC.

I prefer the 512 TR over the original Testarossa, and post-facelift 928 over the original. While the 288 GTO is one of my favorite cars ever, the ungainly square driving lamps have never done it for me.
At least I agree with you on the FD.

You're welcome to. Also, the 2002 was never even remotely good looking. In fact, it was always fuck-ugly. That's what makes it so endearing.

Nice choices, all around
![]() 04/29/2014 at 22:45 |

The curves! The lines! The depth of design! It's like the proto-fuari.

So bad it's amazing.

did u see the zagato custom Ferrari?
Zagato all the cars!
![]() 04/29/2014 at 22:46 |

I think that's my problem, there's not a single hard line on the car, it makes it look... Weird.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 22:47 |

That's what I like about the GTO. They took the 308, and outfitted it for rallying. The 308's curves somehow perfectly clash with the no-nonsense rally gear, creating the perfect contrast.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 22:48 |

EXACTLY. But I can't exactly call it "beautiful"
![]() 04/29/2014 at 22:48 |

Meanwhile, I ADORE the organic lines of it.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 22:49 |

Yes, it's amazing!
I also figured out why LaFerrari looks the way it does.
It's because Pininfarina doesn't their cars anymore! They're designing their cars in house now!

Large bias to the 80s. Art Deco, 50s, 60s? Interesting choices never carried for the Testarossa from a design aspect.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 22:52 |
|
Oh, I love the 288. It's definitely in my top 5 overall cars. Just not my top 5 best looking cars.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 22:52 |
|
Yeah, it's funny, on the whole, I dislike the 80's as far as cars go, buuuuut to me, that's where Ferrari got it FUCKING RIGHT. (The 928 was actually a 70's design, its roots dating back as far as 1971.)

I will say, I like this view more than the same angle on any other car (before you give me shit for the auto, I love the font they used for the badge)

Hey, I LOVE 2002s. I just think they're fuck-ugly. It adds to their charm.

If this were the weekend, this would totally get Silvestro'd.

But dat paint doe...

I'll re-post this weekend. See if Ballban decides to Silvestro me.

All the views are better than all the (comparable) cars. All of them!
Just because I am insanely biased does not mean I'm not also right.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:01 |

EXACTLY!!!!!!
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:02 |

I stand corrected. I suppose with the 78 release I just think 80s porsche
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:04 |
|
In all fairness, it was the single 80's-est Porsche ever.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:13 |

Here's my top 5 best looking cars, in no particular order:
Ferrari 250 GT Lusso
Lamborghini Miura
Ferrari Dino 246 GT
Toyota 2000GT
1961-1963 Lincoln Continental convertible
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:16 |

mmmmm…….curves-wait! ONE OF THESE THINGS, IS NOT LIKE THE OTHER.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:18 |
|
Man, that RX-7 was an amazing machine. Wasn't around long enough.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:21 |
|
I'm torn here. On one hand, yes. On the other, their relative…..I'm trying not to say rareness…..uncommonness….helps sort of keep it the thing of legends. You're not over saturated and diluted with them every day.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:23 |
|
Very true, but the Continental is just so perfectly slab-sided, and it's from the same general era as the others.
There are tons of other cars I love but purely from a looks perspective there's something about the 60s that does it for me.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:24 |
|
Which version of the FD though? The '98 restyle was huge to me in terms of the styling. If I could ever find and afford to own one, I would do the full JDM swap just for the revised bumpers and rear wing.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:24 |
|
I read that they are trying to bring more in house. I think they're still using them sometimes.
They better not cut them off fully! All the cars will be fugly!
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:27 |
|
……DOES NOT COMPU-PU-PU-PUTE. FD IS PERFECT. FD IS GOD. FD IS MY OVERLORD. CANNOT PICK ONE. ALL ARE PERFECT. *head explodes*
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:29 |
|
Always been more drawn to the 512 TR, but regardless that shape is how Ferrari should be explained to people.
I'm surprised no one has posted an E-Type. Didn't forget now, did you?
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:32 |
|
I didn't. I just didn't include it. And if I were, that is the WRONG one. Must bleach my eyes now.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:34 |
|
HAHAHAHA
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:35 |
|
You would definitely pick a Spirit-R over a lowly Touring Automatic model though. You can't deny that. *if we had emojis I would use the appropriate one here*
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:36 |
|
It's butt-ugly, but if you'd try to change it, you'd ruin it. It's perfect how it is. What's a better looking Edsel? A……turnpike cruiser. Fuck that.
![]() 04/29/2014 at 23:38 |
|
Good point. I didn't think anywhere near that deeply. Being saturated and diluted is not preferable, but I have only seen a few in my life, and could certainly stand to be more saturated than that.
![]() 04/30/2014 at 07:54 |

Hopefully I will soon own one of those.

But why!???!!?
![]() 04/30/2014 at 14:18 |

They're trying to become more "self sufficient".
Did you watch any hybrid Enzo videos last night? I only got a chance to watch the Evo one
![]() 04/30/2014 at 14:20 |
|
I watched all of them! THE NOISE
They just reconfirmed my want for one.
![]() 04/30/2014 at 14:32 |
|
Nice! Which review was the best?
I liked how Evo said that it felt like the 458's older brother. They said it was faster but not way harder to drive. Surprising.
![]() 04/30/2014 at 14:35 |
|
All of them were pretty much the same, they all said it was a bigger, faster, hardcore 458.
![]() 04/30/2014 at 14:40 |
|
Interesting. I guess everyone liked it.
Is it true that the Ferrari is the only hypercar that can use the battery lap after lap? The 918 and P1 can only use it for a few hot laps then the battery runs out of juice?
![]() 04/30/2014 at 14:46 |
|
Yeah I think that's something that a lot of people have overlooked.
